Transit New Zealand have announced that tar sealing of the last 19 kilometres of loose-metal surface of State Highway 1 to Cape Reinga will commence in August 2007.	Along with some significant safety and landscaping improvements, sealing will provide a safer and more enjoyable journey for the thousands of tourists who visit the region each year.
Far North Recreational Dive Club	This new club was formed in June 2007 and all divers, locals and visitors, are invited to get in touch for diving in the Far North.
Far North District Council Building, Planning and Development Overview	This new section of the FNDC's website clearly sets out for the layman, the processes and procedures that need to be followed when building or developing in this area and provides an explanation of when and why resource consents may be needed under the terms of the Resource Management Act.
